Ada matters!
The computing industry is rather peculiar: If a technology is not the latest and greatest, people think it has vanished entirely.
You can, for example, often meet otherwise knowledgeable people who think that mainframes and COBOL have completely disappeared.

Looking out 40 years, “safe” languages are just as important
Bob Morris has been around mission- and safety-critical software for a long time.
After moving to longtime Ada specialist DDC-I a few years ago he has worked quickly to make sure the company is well positioned to provide “safe” languages for long-life military programs.
While Ada remains King, new flavors of Java are sure to satisfy the market for many years to come.
